Our 11+ online group classes run one per week for two hours via Microsoft Teams. These classes will cover the exact same material as our in-person classes and are ideal for those who are wanting to apply for the Grammar Schools in Essex but are either not local to Colchester or have not yet moved to the Essex area.
Here at Jacqui Robinson Education we teach in small groups with lots of individual attention; the small groups means that children are used to working with other bright children and are therefore able to cope well with a Grammar School environment.
We introduce gentle kind competition, peer group awareness and a love of learning which means our students have self-confidence and robustness.
We start at the level that your child will need and with kindness, understanding and genuine care we introduce new topics and regularly revise previous topics.
Programs are constantly being written to accommodate your child's individual needs and the teacher will feedback to you at the end of each 2-hour session.
Our students head to Grammar School fully prepared for a happy, fulfilling educational journey.

Frequently Asked Questions
When should I enrol for 11+ tuition?
Our 11+ course starts from Year 3 and we recommend that all parents start tuition for the 11+ as soon as possible.
This will provide your child with the best possible opportunity to gain a place at one of the Grammar Schools in Essex.
Before enrolling , we do require that your child completes an assessment with us. This will allow us to see what level they are currently working at in Maths and English and plan out the next steps in their educational journey.
Our assessments are held in person at our centre in Colchester. If you are unable to get to Colchester, please contact our office directly for other options.
How are the lessons structured?
Our 11+ lessons run for two hours once per week. During this time, we will cover Maths, English and Verbal Reasoning.
Our 11+ classes work at a higher level than school, meaning that your child will always feel prepared and clever in their school lessons.
Our students will be taught many new topics and also revise older ones learnt previously through a variety of fun, interactive and educational activities. There will also be a strong focus on exam practice, timings and techniques so that students feel comfortable when sitting the exam at the beginning of Year 6.
Your child will then finish their lesson feeling confident, happy and clever. They will have a little bit of homework to complete and spellings to learn for their next lesson.
What are the class sizes?
Class sizes are a maximum of 8 students with each group being led by one of our tutors.
How do I get feedback on how my child is doing?
For our online classes, we ask that you contact our office when you would like feedback on your child's progress in our online classes.
We will then either pass on feedback from your tutor or we will arrange for a phone call with them.
How are lessons paid for?
Lessons are paid for monthly in advance via direct debit or with childcare vouchers.
