Preparing children in Year 5 ensures that when they enter the Grammar School they have not just been crammed for an exam. Our students head to Grammar School fully prepared for a happy, fulfilling educational journey.

Here at Jacqui Robinson Education we teach in small groups with lots of individual attention; the small groups means that children are used to working with other bright children and are therefore able to cope well with a Grammar School environment. 

We introduce gentle kind competition, peer group awareness and a love of learning which means our students have self-confidence and robustness. 

In Year 5 we ensure all the foundations for an advanced education are fully embedded. In one session per week we teach Maths, English and Verbal Reasoning. 

We start at the level that your child will need and with kindness, understanding and genuine care we introduce new topics and regularly revise previous topics. 

Programs are constantly being written to accommodate your child's individual needs and the teacher will feedback to you at the end of each 2 hour session.

Year 5 11+ includes Maths and English and Verbal Reasoning all with one 2-hour session so that your child only needs to attend once per week.

Our 2 hour lessons take place in a variety of locations including our main centre on Ipswich Road in Colchester, Shrub End Community Centre in Colchester, Colchester High School and our new site in Maldon within the times below:

Mondays 4:00pm - 6:00pm

Tuesdays 4:00pm - 8:00pm

Wednesdays 4:00pm - 8:00pm

Thursdays 4:00pm - 8:00pm

Fridays 4:00pm - 8:00pm

Saturdays 8:00am - 4:00pm

Sundays 9:30am - 12:30pm

Our available packages for Year 5 classes can be found below.  We deliver an extensive, progressive weekly pack of support work with teacher led classes, working with you to help your child succeed. Each week your child will be taught Maths, English and Verbal Reasoning for this one fee.

We are in Colchester, 2 miles from Colchester town centre, 15 miles from Clacton, 5 minutes from the A12 and A120 giving access from Harwich, Earls Colne, Halstead, Braintree and Manningtree. Our centre is 20 minutes from Witham; 30 minutes from Ipswich; 35 minutes from Chelmsford and 45 minutes from Brentwood. We are 1 hour and 20 minutes from Norwich.
