Primary

Our aim is to build knowledge and confidence, with tutor led classes in small friendly groups, students enjoy learning and are rewarded with lots of praise and prizes. Our group size is a maximum of six students and each group has a tutor and a mentor. This one to three ratio is unique and enables students to work independently with help when needed.

Teaching both Maths and English within a one hour class ensures all students can work on their more challenging area and then be rewarded by working on their easier subject. All students will know their times tables and understand how much fun percentages and fractions can be.

Spelling, writing, vocabulary, grammar and comprehension skills are the basis of the English syllabus. Following the National Curriculum while working one step ahead ensures our students can raise their hands to answer questions in school with confidence. It is common for students to go up sets at school.

Once students begin to succeed, they become enthusiastic about work, especially as any extra homework completed is rewarded with a prize. Students enjoy their classes and leave knowing more than when they came in. Self respect and self worth are at the heart of successful learning; a positive mindset with immediate help ensures students succeed.
