Building confidence in your child is the key to success
In a large class, at school, it is easy to feel that other students are progressing faster and understanding more. This can quickly lead to a downward spiral in self-esteem and an early dislike of subjects such as Maths and English.
Students need self confidence. This comes from seeing themselves progress, learn and gain praise from their teacher and the other students in their group. Small group tuition is perfect for this. Students work with a tutor, sitting around a small table together, the work is achievable and carefully structured to progress skills at an impressive rate.
The core to all learning is a growth mind-set. The knowledge that no one knows everything. It is good to make mistakes as success can only happen if we keep trying. If something goes wrong, our tutors step in immediately and works with the student until they succeed. Then it is important that the student is given the opportunity to do the work successfully, on their own. Students always leave class with more skills than they came in with.
